What to Expect From Us Regarding Postnatal Care in Perth

After your beloved and longed-for baby has arrived, going home and taking care of both yourself and the rest of the family can seem overwhelming for some. We understand that as much as you and your partner are thrilled and grateful, your home life may feel very different and this may create a sense of pressure and stress on the family, as a whole. That’s why we remain on hand when you get home, to help guide you in those early weeks as you embark on your parenting journey. You can continue to rely on us for:

Continuous home-based support

Our postnatal home care starts as soon as you get home, and will continue, based on a flexible schedule to suit your home situation, for as long as you need.

Holistic care collaboration

Our professionals are qualified to provide robust, holistic care as you recover and become accustomed to your new and blessed life with your baby. If further care is required outside of our scope of practice or expertise, our professionals will be able to guide you and refer you to the right health care provider for a more positive outcome for you and your baby.

Ongoing parenting education

We know that there is no one size fits all approach when it comes to feeding your baby, whether you are breastfeeding or bottle feeding. So one of our highly qualified IBCLC's will meet with you to understand your situation and any concerns, working with you to develop your personalised plan and help you know what to do and manage any issues. In addition, after your consultation, we are available on the phone for seven days to make sure you and your baby are relaxed, happy, and comfortable. If you book an initial consultation, it includes phone support for 7 days and their feeding plan can be revised if necessary. (We do not offer phone support for other services except for the initial consult)

Antenatal classes

We offer antenatal classes, such as labour and birth and breastfeeding classes and parenting first aid to help you feel empowered and informed well before your baby arrives. Our classes are run by experienced registered nurse/midwives and IBCLC's and are based on current and best evidence based practice, knowledge and experience to help prepare you for your birth and parenting journey. As our classes are one-on-one and in the comfort of your home, a more intimate and approachable environment is created allowing for your specific questions or concerns to be voiced and discussed with your educator.
