General Conditions

The Gentle Village reserves the right to refuse a service or continue to provide a service to anyone for any reason at any time.

You understand that your information (not including credit card information), may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks; and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.​

All material provided to you before, during or after your class/consultation is protected by copyright Australia. You, as the client, agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of our services and information that has been provided to you at any given time. This includes any information, or materials given to you via all forms of communication (that is email, phone, apps, videos, written material etc).

Payments for services

​The Gentle Village requires payment a minimum of 48 hours prior to your appointment. You will receive an invoice of your consultation and travel fee (if applicable) shortly after your booking is confirmed. You understand that if payment is not made at least 48 hours prior to your appointment, and our admin team have not been successful in reaching you, we have the right to cancel your appointment without further notice. You will receive an email confirming your cancellation.

Cancellation Policy (Revised 16th March 2024)

If you need to cancel your appointment with us, thats not a problem at all, we just kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice Monday to Friday between 9am-5pm. By providing us more than 48 hours notice, it helps our practitioners serve our families in a timely and effective manner. Please keep in mind our cancellation terms below:

* A non-refundable admin fee of $10 will be charged for all cancelled appointments.
* Cancellations with > 48 hours notice - full refund given (minus $10 admin fee).
* Cancellations within 24 hours - 48 hours - 50% refund of your full fee (minus $10 admin fee)
* Cancellations or missed appts < 24 hours - NO refund will be given.
* Rescheduling your appointment is free of charge for up to 2 rescheduled appointments only. If your appointment need to be rescheduled for the third time, your booking deposit is kept as a rescheduled fee and you will be reissued a full consultation fee.

Please note: As our office hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, we do not monitor the phone lines or emails outside of these hours and if you do cancel your appointment outside of these hours, your cancelled appointment will not be processed until the next business day and it may attract a cancellation fee.


Antenatal and Parent First Aid Class

The Gentle Village antenatal classes are taught by a qualified, practising midwife and general educational advice about pregnancy, childbirth and new baby care is given. Individual particular health advice on your own current pregnancy and wellbeing cannot be given and clients must take their health and/or pregnancy queries to their GP, Obstetrician or another appropriate health professional.​The Gentle Village cannot accept responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury to any person or property arising out of or resulting from our classes. You are particularly advised to take care of all personal property and possessions.​The Parent First Aid class is a non-accredited class. If you're in need or looking for an accredited first aid training class/course, we suggest contacting St John WA or Australian Red Cross to find out more information on accredited courses.

Privacy

The Gentle Village respects your right to privacy and will protect the general information that you have provided as part of your application to attend any of our courses. The Gentle Village will protect your data from misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and alteration to the best of its ability. ​Please note that this website may include links to other websites, which are not in control by The Gentle Village. These links are made available for your convenience and to provide you with further information. You acknowledge that by clicking on these links you are using this information at your own risk. Product descriptions and images displayed on our shop page of our website are provided by the manufacturer or wholesaler/distributor. The Gentle Village does not provide any warranty or guarantee as to the performance of products displayed on our website. ​The Gentle Village do their best to display accurate information on the website. Prices on our website will have GST calculated at checkout. However, we reserve the right to correct errors, inaccuracy or omissions and update the necessary information at any time, without prior notice.​The information contained on this website does not replace the advice of your GP or health professional. We always recommend seeking medical advice prior to using our products.

2) Refunds and Return Policy

Please read the following policy carefully before making your purchase.

When you change your mind at The Gentle Village:- You have 28 days to return your items for an exchange, store credit or refund as long as it is returned in a saleable condition with original proof of purchase. However, some product exclusions apply - see list below. Saleable condition means that the item has not been opened, assembled or used and is still in its original packaging. Outer & inner packaging is unopened and undamaged upon return, and all manuals, packaging & accessories are included. If you are unable to provide proof of purchase, we reserve the right to refuse the request for refund, exchange or store credit.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund only for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and failure does not amount to a major failure. If the failure is minor, we reserve our right to offer to repair only and reserve the right to not offer a refund.
All refund rights under both State and Commonwealth law apply.

Excluded Products
The following items may not be returned/exchanged for change of mind:-
La Vie Massagers (with broken seals or not sold with protective packaging)
The Gentle Village Breast Therapy Pads (for hygiene reasons)
Haakaa Products (with broken seals or not sold with protective packaging)
Teething/Chew toys/Pacifiers - (not sold with protective packaging or if plastic covering is broken or removed).
Probiotics/supplements (with broken seals or not sold with protective packaging).

Please Note:
Delivery is non-refundable; online refunds or exchanges exclude delivery charges.
If you are returning an item, shipping fees are payable by the purchaser.
