1. General Conditions
The Gentle Village reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services to any individual at any time, for any reason, including breach of policies or inappropriate conduct.
It is the responsibility of each client to ensure they understand the nature of the services booked, and to communicate any medical conditions or concerns prior to the commencement of services.
All information, content, and resources provided during appointments or through written or digital formats remain the intellectual property of The Gentle Village and may not be reproduced, duplicated, distributed, or shared without written consent.

2. Privacy Policy
Your privacy is important to us. Any personal data collected is stored securely and only used for the purpose of providing care or fulfilling legal obligations. We do not share your information with third parties unless required by law. Credit card payments are processed via secure platforms and are not stored by The Gentle Village.

3. Payments and Refunds for Services
Full payment is required a minimum of 48 hours before your appointment. Invoices are issued via email shortly after booking confirmation. Payments can be made via bank transfer or credit card. Cash is accepted by prior arrangement.
Services attract a higher fee when booked as an in-home consult, reflecting travel time. This structure allows clients to claim private health or Medicare rebates, where applicable, as travel fees themselves are not claimable.
No refunds will be provided for services once a consultation has been completed or a plan has been issued.

4. Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy (Revised 22 May 2025)
~ Cancellations > 48 hours: Full refund (minus $10 admin fee)
~ Cancellations within 24–48 hours: 50% refund of total fee (minus $10 admin fee)
~ Cancellations or no-shows < 24 hours: No refund
We understand that illness happens, especially with little ones. If you or your child are unwell, you may reschedule your appointment at short notice without penalty. In this case, the original payment will be held and applied to your rescheduled appointment. However, no refunds will be issued for cancellations due to illness with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Rescheduling is free for up to two appointments if at least 48 hours’ notice is provided. Further reschedules will incur a rebooking fee.

5. Class Disclaimer
Antenatal and first aid classes are taught by a qualified midwife. These classes provide general education and do not replace medical advice. Clients with specific pregnancy or health concerns should speak to their GP or obstetric provider.
Our Parent First Aid class is not accredited. For nationally recognised first aid qualifications, we recommend contacting St John WA or Red Cross.

6. Intellectual Property and Copyright
All educational resources, care plans, handouts, digital downloads, videos, course materials, and content shared during appointments, workshops, or via The Gentle Village’s website and social platforms are protected by copyright. These materials are provided for personal use only and must not be copied, distributed, rebranded, sold, or used in any commercial capacity without written permission. Breaches of this policy may result in legal action under Australian copyright law.

7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Gentle Village will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services, educational content, or products, including but not limited to loss, injury, claim, liability, or damage of any kind. Clients are responsible for applying advice appropriately and seeking further professional support where needed.

8. Digital Product Terms
All digital products are non-refundable once downloaded or accessed. Your purchase grants you a single-user license for personal use only. Redistribution, resale, or use for teaching purposes without written permission is strictly prohibited.

9. Online Shop
Product information is provided as accurately as possible, but may be subject to correction or change without notice. Products are intended for general use and do not replace medical advice. Please speak with your healthcare provider before using any therapeutic item.
Shipping Policy:
Orders are processed within 2–3 business days.
Standard postage within Australia: 3–8 business days
Express postage within Australia: 1–3 business days
International shipping available; delivery timeframes vary based on destination.
Returns and Refunds:
Returns accepted within 28 days for unopened, saleable items with proof of purchase.
Refunds exclude original shipping fees.
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
Excluded Items: These items cannot be returned or exchanged for hygiene reasons:
~ Breast therapy pads
~ La Vie massagers (if opened or seal broken)
~ Haakaa products (if packaging is broken)
~ Teethers/pacifiers (if packaging is broken or item used)
~ Probiotics/supplements (if opened or packaging compromised)
